For Our Students

The Sauk Prairie Area Literacy Council has a number of volunteer tutors who offer free lessons to adults of all backgrounds to improve their English language skills.

Students meet one-on-one with a tutor in a public place, like a public library or coffee shop.

There are no costs for materials. Both the Ruth Culver Community Library in Prairie du Sac and the George Culver Community Library in Sauk City have English language materials available for both the tutor and the student to check out.

The only requirement is a desire to work on your English language skills and your commitment to meet with your tutor as scheduled once you are matched.

To register to be matched for tutoring, please call Heather Cole, bilingual library assistant, at (608)643-8318 or print an application form (in English) and return it to the Ruth Culver Community Library in Prairie du Sac.
