Serving adults of all backgrounds who want to improve their functional literacy skills.

Tutors are the Heart of SPALC!

SPALC would be nothing without the energetic and devoted efforts of our tutors!  Some of you have served for many years and have tutored a series of students. Others teach only during part of the year.  Whatever your schedule, we can find a way for you to help a member of our community live a more manageable and rewarding life.

NOTE:  We'll be hosting our next Tutor Idea Exchange (TIE) on June 25, 2022. Be sure to RSVP and plan to drop by! See: June 25 Event Info

Linked below, are resources for teaching, and tips from experienced tutors.  There is also a link to the Intercambio curriculum site that several of us use where you will find some additional tips to using this series.

We hope that you will add to these tips and ideas by sending them to Heather Cole at the Ruth Culver Community Library, using the contact link.
